GHOST TOWN LULLABY
An AI Music Concept Album from James Harris

GHOST TOWN LULLABY is a new concept album of songs that are inspired by the ghost towns of the west and the hardship of working the mines when the silver boom ended at the turn of the century.

The silver was good. The days were good. Life was good. This is Boomtown, an uptempo tribute to dreams of the miners who struck it rich in the late 19th century.

Riches to Rust

A silver miner had it all, and then lost it all. Riches to Rust is his story.

Whispers Through the Windowpanes

Whispers Through the Windowpanes

James Harris

A fitting tribute to the ghost towns of the west. A male singer is a visitor describing the ghosts telling him their stories about the town.

When the Train Stopped Coming

When the Train Stopped Coming

James Harris

This song is about what happens when a boom town transitions to a ghost town when the train stopped coming. The beautiful long intro features mandolin and violin, with somber, haunting male vocals following.

Creede

Creede

James Harris

It is the 1890s in Creede, Colorado. The mines were producing silver, and actually continued operating until the 1980s. The terrain in the canyon behind the town made for brutal conditions and there were many fatalities during the early years, although records were never kept. Today, Creede is a beautiful little town that is worth the visit, and you can drive the Bachelor Road loop to see the abandoned mines and equipment.

Where Have They All Gone?

Where Have They All Gone?

James Harris

The veins of silver have been exhausted and the silver market is beginning to crash. An empty mining town is all that is left. Where have they all gone?

The title song is a tribute for all the ghost towns in the old west. Featuring both male and female harmonizing vocals in a traditional country song.
